Training shoes are shoes that are specifically made for sports athletes. Although they are able to be used by anybody, training shoes are built differently than normal shoes to give extra support and padding for people who do a lot of running (like athletes).
People have put years of research into different types of shoes and how they help or hurt you. Regular shoes are great for protecting your feet, but if you do a lot of walking and running on regular shoes, it can really hurt your feet and back after a while.
Training shoes are built specifically to fit around your foot as perfectly as possible. This way when you run, the shoe feels natural and won't cause you to have excess pain in your feet, legs or back. Many people don't think there's a difference between regular shoes and training shoes, but there is: your health.
